Watch: AJ Specification Materials in Focus webinar on brick

Materials in Focus is a new series of free AJ virtual events in which we will be exploring the use of materials in design and how architects can specify and use these more sustainably

The first session focuses on brick and took place on 18 March 2021. Alice Brownfield of Peter Barber Architects presents the Ordnance Road project, and discusses the practice's iconic use of brick. Mae associate Michael Dillon talks about the practice’s collaboration with StoneCycling on Sands End Arts and Community Centre in Fulham, and Will Gamble joins us to speak about the Parchment Works, shortlisted for AJ Small Projects 2020. The panel discussion is chaired by AJ technical editor Fran Williams, who takes live questions from the audience.
