| NOTES ON THE ABOVE | ||||
|
The shape of the guitar can be quite sexy considering it almost has the shape of a female's torso. I have yet to come across a sleeve design that could have used that concept. Not that the above are bad, it's just that they could have done more to make the guitar appealing. Bert Weedon was, apparently, quite a celebrity in his time, although I had never heard of him till I came across two of his LPs presented here. He even has a website dedicated to him, so check out www.bertweedon.com if you're interested. As for the Super Guitar of Lightnin' Red, these albums sell for quite a bit. One website I came across was asking £10-£12 for them. Unbelievable. Mine only cost 50p each, making them trashy enough to include here. (Check out the prices at www.vinyluk.com) Does anyone know anything about this guitarist as I can find little on the net? And I presume these were the only two he's done as I've not come across any others. And yes, I know, a ukelele is not the same thing as a guitar, but where else could I stick the cover of Ukelele Girl? To view larger images use the Database |
