NOTES ON THE ABOVE

As an adjunct to the sometimes tasteless and absurd LP covers of other sections, I thought it was worth adding these to give a sense of style to the proceedings. Okay, they may not be as trashy, but I like them, especially the Rhapsody cover. And yes, they do fall outside of the parameters I designate the Golden Age, with release dates ranging from the mid-60s to the eighties. Other classical composers like Rimsky-Korsakov can be found on the Oriental gallery page. Incidentally, the Symphonie Fantastique LP has been voted one of the worst covers of all time in a book about bad record covers. Understandably so, as it seems to have a sinister connotation. What were the designers thinking!
